Flock

This was posted by Rob Sheridan on his blog at demonbaby.com, and I'm reposting it here and appears below:

it's not often you find a reason to switch web browsers. once upon a time we all used netscape, and then we switched to internet explorer. and then any of us with half a brain abandoned internet explorer for firefox, which is so much better on so many levels. a lot of mac users, like myself, then started using safari. that's only four browsers in a decade - five if you count opera, which is a bit more niche. i tend to bounce back and forth between safari and firefox, favoring safari because i like how it works and how it integrates with my mac. but that all changed today. after only one day of using the new web browser flock, i have been converted. i set it as my default, transferred over my bookmarks, and waved safari goodbye.

the flock browser is built on firefox, so if you're used to firefox you'll be right at home. what it does, however, is integrate a number of amazingly useful tools for viewing and managing media, social networks, rss feeds, and more. it has a sidebar where you can keep track of activity on dozens of services like facebook and flickr. it has a built-in flickr uploader and built-in tools for blogging with most blogging software. it has a highly customizable search (i can specifically search google, wikipedia, imdb, flickr, youtube, or google images all from the browser's search window), and a gorgeous media viewer which makes it a real joy to browse through youtube videos, or photos from flickr or facebook or other similar services. it integrates your del.icio.us bookmarks into the browser, and also has a top-notch rss reader. everything is drag-and-drop, including a web clipboard where you can quickly store text, links, and images in a sidebar bin for later use. that feature, in and of itself, makes the browser indispensable for me.

give it a shot, it's a free download for mac or pc at flock.com. if you're obsessed with media or social networking sites, or do a lot of blogging, or just want a browser that does a hell of a job of bringing everything you do on the web together - you might just be as impressed as i am with this thing.
